First, I believe we share with those who hold to doctrines of eternal security as previously described the belief in God's sovereignty. With regard to the topic of perseverance, Arminius and the initial Remonstrants were not resolute in the opinion that one could become apostate from the regenerate state. We do not believe God would condemn someone who was true to the "light they had" even if they did not know the name of Jesus.
