There was a lot to celebrate for young baseball and softball players in Compton, Calif., and New Orleans on Saturday as Major League Baseballs Youth Academies in those areas hosted ceremonial collegiate commitment letter signings at their facilities. Players in the South Region may attend any tryout in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Kansas if their travel schedule and/or tryout availability takes them to another state.
